Putin vs Macron: sadness and joy in Paris


Russian President Vladimir Putin met with French President Emmanuel Macron on May, 29 in Paris. Emotional analysis of both presidential speeches allows us to determine the dominant emotion and the level of their psycho-emotional fluctuations.

 Putin was more emotionally unstable than E.Macron showing somewhat greater range of emotional fluctuations.

In general, Putin had more emotional presentation than E.Macron. However, mainly the only emotion he expressed was sadness. At the same time E.Macron showed periodic bursts of joy with high peaks.

E.Maсron is characterized by a predominance of positive emotions over negative and greater emotional diversity than Putin had. In particular, E.Macron pronounces quite clearly such emotions as contempt, anger and surprise that almost had no his Russian colleague.
